A Call to Photographers Across the Interwebs. Allow Me Feature Your CC-licensed Images w/ My Music

I am making a new video for an original music composition and would like to feature images from photographers who license their photos under Creative Commons. I’m interested to see your work that you feel evokes a mood that might compliment this musical offering.

I originally wrote this piece, Waiting in homage to musical a hero of mine: Tom Waits. I’m looking for photos that reflect the introspective yet almost ‘intoxicated’ feel of this song. They can be portraits, landscapes, street photos, abstracts–whatever fits the mood of the music.

This is not a commercial effort. It is an opportunity for your work (fully linked and attributed back to you, like Boris Gorelik’s amazing photo above. See what I did there?) to be seen in a new way by an audience that may not have seen it before.

Are you into it? You don’t have to be famous or anything. Please listen (it’s short) to this piece and submit a link or two if you have something you think might work well.

I considered rummaging through Thomas Hawk, Trey Ratcliff or Scott Jarvie’s albums to find suitable pieces (of which there are many), and I still might do some of that, but I would love you to link me to your images that you would like to see in the project in the comments here.

I’m looking forward to seeing what we create together.
