We all have that lick or song that our fingers seem to play unsupervised when we pick up our instrument. Jerry Reed’s “Baby’s Comin’ Home” has become that for me lately. This was recorded in my studio for what was intended to be for Instagram and in the process of making it, I realized that my computer and camera equipment has fallen woefully out-of-date. I suppose I’ll buy new computers once every ten years whether I need to or not.

(re) Discovering Chet
Since this past Spring, I’ve become randomly obsessed with the wonderful music of Chet Atkins. I’ve been well aware of Chet since I was a kid (The TV show Hee-Haw was my window into country music back then), but I’ve been over-taken over by his guitar style and have been staying up until3am every morning practicing this wonderful way of navigating the guitar.
